Step 1: Sourcing Raw Copper

The process begins with sourcing high-purity raw copper sheets or ingots. Quality control starts here — the purity of the raw material directly determines the quality, durability, and safety of the finished product.

Step 2: Shaping the Metal

Copper sheets are cut and shaped into the base form of the product — a bottle, jug, vessel, or dispenser — using traditional shaping techniques. For jointless designs, this is done from a single sheet, avoiding the seams and joints found in lower-quality mass-produced items.

Step 3: Hammering

This is where the artistry truly shows. Skilled artisans hand-hammer the copper surface, creating the distinctive textured finish that Indian copperware is known for. Each hammer strike is placed by hand — no two pieces are ever perfectly identical, which is part of what makes handcrafted copperware genuinely unique compared to machine-stamped alternatives.

Step 4: Polishing & Finishing

Once shaped and hammered, pieces are polished to bring out copper's natural warm shine. Depending on the design, some products receive additional finishing touches — embossing, antique finishes, or fittings like taps, handles, and lids, often in brass.

Before any product is approved for shipment, it undergoes quality inspection.
